Still alive, just haven't done much :P

Yep, read teh title folks, revision and whatnot for the upcoming GCSEs has taken up a sizable chunk of my spare time, so you'll have to wait a while untill you see anything warhammery (warhammer-esque?) painted up, although not to long hopefully as I have recently taken part in a trade with Lukas for a few odds and sods.

From my end:
-3 of the new Ork warbikes
-5 of the old Ork warbikes
-2 Ork buggies
-1 Ork wartrakk (weapon missing)
-and 1 of the old Ork trukks

And what he's sending me:
-Limited edition Inquisitor guy (very happeh getting him :D)
-A couple of the models from the inquisitor lord and retinue box (servitor and acoptle, or however you spell it :P)
-Empire Wizards box
-Dire wolves box
-Witch hunter model with inferno pistol and pointy stick of poking
-Something else which i've forgotten
-And various bits of plasticard

So yeah, DA are taking a backseat for the next little while, now that ideas of an inquisitor retinue leading inducted Vostroyans have crept into my brainmeats, maybe i'll even get something painted when the stuff gets here ^^.

Unexpected tests, and why they make me want to punch something...

Well, today started with a horrible little shock for me, turns out we had been told about an upcoming test on Friday, and me being me, I had completely forgotten about it untill this morning, when I spent 50 minutes frantically trying to revise the previous 2 months of work we had done that I had typically forgotten to try and make sure that 10% of my end GCSE wasn't a massive FAIL, then finding out after the test that I had likely gotten a load of shit wrong (unless by some amazing coincedence, about 70% of the class cocked up instead), which will no doubt drag my grade down a fair bit, so ya, am a little annoyed, will just have to wait and see what I got, let this be a lesson to remember, write shit like this down somewhere so you don't forget :(.

On a somewhat lighter note, the first regiment of skellies has been fully assembled, pics when i've decided how i'm going to paint the bone (picking up the wrong foundation paint on Saturday has buggered my original plan up somewhat :/).

Shit what needs doing

So here's what I plan to buy/assemble/paint up this year:

3000 points of Vampire Counts: My main project for 2008, although it shall initially start out as a mordheim warband for a forum open day i'm attending in just over a month, I intend to keep to this aim and have a big enough force to take to Games Day this year, expect a fair few conversions and lots of black and turquoise ;).

1000 points of Dark Angels: The humble beginnings of what I intend to be my main 40k army, probably going to take a while cause the scheme i'm choosing is a sod to do (Angels of Redemption, scheme shown just below)

X points of Orks (X being the amount I have lying around at the moment, around 2000 at a rough estimate): I need this lot painted, to get them out of the way if nothing else, will probably do as Goffs or Deffskulls, might even check 'em on ebay after :).

So, 6000 points in one year, i've got a lot of painting ahead of me... :P

First post, for introductions and whatnot

"The lone ranger, not realising Tonto was disguised as a door, shot his knob off..."
Anyways, as the title suggests, here is where I introduce myself, anyone expecting pictures of painted models and whatnot, bugger off and come back later, when i've finally willed myself into painting something and taking a picture that isn't crap ;).

Righty then, my name's Joel Peacock (although most folks will know me as Dracomancer from the various forums i'm part of), and I be a 16 year old Londoner with enough spare time on his hands to start this blog, on which i'll mention anything I deem vaguely important, expect things to mainly revolve around plastic and metal models, and the painting of which (sad I know, but i'm a sad person ;P), with the odd bit of social commentary when I have nothing else to say ;).

Next up, a list of current projects.
